EUROSAFE DELUGE VALVE
DESCRIPTION
Deluge Valve, External Resetting Diaphragm Style – 2″thru 12″. Deluge Valves are diaphragm-type valves intended for vertical installation in fire prevention systems. They function as “automatic water control valves” in deluge, preauction, and other forms of fire prevention systems, such as foam-water systems. When appropriately trimmed, the Valves activate fire alarms when the system is turned on.
EUROSAFE DIAPHRAGM DELUGE CONTROL VALVE
Deluge Valves are generally vital components of fire prevention systems because they are employed in scenarios that need the rapid delivery of huge amounts of water. It distributes a huge amount of water across a big area in a very short period of time. They are often employed in fixed fire prevention systems with an empty pipe system until the deluge valve distributes pressurized water from open nozzles or sprinklers. Deluge valves are used in spray systems to quickly apply water. Deluge valves safeguard regions such as power transformer installation, storage tank protection, conveyor protection, and other industrial applications, among others. They also safeguard aircraft hangers against inflammable liquid fires with the addition of a foaming agent.

EUROSAFE DELUGE CONTROL VALVE OPERATION
The EUROSAFE Deluge Valve is a hydraulically actuated diaphragm valve with a rapid release. It comprises three chambers that are separated by a diaphragm-operated clapper and seat seal. Because of the differential pressure design, water pressure is transmitted from the system supply side to the top chamber via an external bypass check valve and restriction orifice while in the SET position, so that supply pressure in the top chamber acts across the diaphragm operated clapper, which holds the seat against the inlet supply pressure. When a fire is detected, the top chamber is evacuated to the atmosphere via the outlet port using opening actuation mechanisms.

INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE
Before using the Deluge valve, the installed system piping network must be thoroughly cleansed. The system must be commission by a certified and trained individual. After a few successful first tests, an authorized person must be taught to check and test the system. It is advised that the system be inspected and tested on a regular basis in accordance with NFPA guidelines or the organization with local authority.
Warning
Only authorized and qualified individuals are permitted to conduct inspections and testing. DO NOT TURN OFF THE WATER SUPPLY OR CLOSE ANY VALVE TO MAKE REPAIRS OR TEST THE VALVE WITHOUT a roaming fire patrol in the system’s coverage area. Inform local security and the central alarm station as well, to avoid a false alarm signal.
It is advised that the system be physically inspected at least twice a week. The examination should ensure that all control valves are properly positioned according to system requirements and that no components are damaged.
